Ogie and I braved the stormy Wednesday to attend Bong and Anne's wedding in Malate Church. Bong is one of Ogie's best buddies.
The church ceremony went smoothly despite the weather and the reception at Century Ballroom in Century Park Hotel was just superb! The food was great, especially the desserts (being the sweet tooth that I am). |
| | Some photos that I never got to upload. Trend Micro Christmas Party 2008 in Silver City, Pasig. Party pics with Parokya ni Edgar. |
| | We went to LB on Saturday morning since Ara won't be off from her hospital duty until 2pm. We picked Ara up at San Pablo then went to Liliw, Laguna to buy tsinelas. We had dinner at Kusina Salud, a nice and quite place in San Pablo City. It is owned by designer Patis Tesoro. It is a fairly new restaurant made from old and antique materials. They use old chairs, tables, grills, windows... We love the place and the food. Their pandan iced tea is just so heavenly. :-)

I double-checked all my cards after that. I am turning 26 two months from now and reading things about today's youth intimidates me. I feel so old especially when I think about the things that I got to do when I was in high school. I read some things about open parties that high school students do or go to today. I only know a little about the Atenean who was beaten during an open party hosted by a group of students called STOYA. But hey, do high school students really get to go to such "parties" nowadays? Gawd! Aand they have the money to spend? I am a certified 'probinsyana'. I was born, raised and educated in the province and these things are considered outrageous during my time. When I was in high school, I was not allowed to be out at 7pm. My dad picked me up when we had plays and had to stay late in school, or I had to excuse myself from the teacher in charge and go home at 6pm. I was also not allowed to sleep over at my classmates' place. I think I only did that a couple of times (but I had to be good for like 2 weeks before asking my parents to allow me to go to sleep overs). I also was not allowed to swim (in the beach) if we have outings. If we have pool parties (daytime lang ha), I had to drag my older cousin so my parents would allow me to go. Drinking alcohol was the worst thing I can do then (actually next to having a boyfriend), which is probably the reason why I don't drink now. Don't get me wrong. I did not accept those restrictions with an open mind and heart, especially when my classmates were mostly free do those things. But those were far from outrageous. So yes, I also had my share of rebellious mode. But my rebellious mode did not do any harm so it was forgivable. I just can't imagine how much has changed since my high school/youth days. | | October 3-4. Thank you, Janelle, for organizing the team building. :-) |
| | These are uber late Christmas pics because I've been super busy since the start of this year. Today is the only relaxed day since January 5. hayy... |
| | We had our team Christmas Party yesterday, Dec. 16, at McD's. We worked on a very tight budget and limited (allowed) items for the raffle but it went on really good. Everyone (I hope) enjoyed the party and Grimace's dance performance.
Thank you, Dianne, for the wonderful gift! I love it! |
| | Hector and Alpha in Cibo - November 21, 2008.
A little background:
Alpha: Her family is in Japan and she lived there for 3 years after graduating college. She visits her family from time to time. :-)
Hector: Works as a Japanese Localization Coordinator and goes to Japan on vacations and business trips.
It's the Japanese connection that they have kaya mukhang masaya ang kanilang pagkikita. :-) |
| | The family went to Manila Ocean Park yesterday. The initial plan was to go to Greenhills but since we got up a little early, we decided to go to the Ocean Park first. None of us brought a cam so we had to make do with our phone cams. :-(
One thing I discovered from the trip is that seahorse is such a boring creature. I swear, it does nothing and it looks soooo sad! I also saw some fish that I get to eat, hehe. Sarap hulihin at ihawin ng mga isda. :-D
I was a bit disappointed though, because I wanted to see more big fish like tuna, whales, big sharks..hehe. Mama said they will not be able to have those fish in such small aquariums. |
| | We had the yearly Halloween/Family Day last Friday. It was so much fun! We bought lots of candies for the trick or treats and then we saved some for us too. haha! 16th floor (our floor) got the first prize in the presentation. Yehey! |
| | Today is Hailey's 3rd birthday (and Lolo's 83rd birthday), but we celebrated it/them in advance last Saturday in Jollibee, West Ave. It was a fun-filled party and i really enjoyed seeing my nephews and nieces happy. After the party, we went to Timezone at Trinoma. |
Dahil wala kame ginawa kundi kumain. Two weeks na kameng nagpu-foodtrip. Pag niyaya mo sya, hindi man lang naghehesitate. OO agad ang sagot. huhuhu... Beng, tigilan na natin ito! | | Thanksgiving party ni Bong (sa bahay namin) kase maayos na ulit ang paa nya. :D
I cooked tuna caserole. Ogie cooked steamed tilapia. Bong cooked garlic mushroom with oyster sauce. Bong bought white chocolate mousse. Woohoo! We drank Amoroso Brandy, then they had red horse pa. Slept at 5am. :-P |
| | Lola turned 83 last July 17 and we celebrated her birthday last Saturday. Ninang invited Fr. Dabu to give a thanksgiving mass.
Medyo malaki na nga pala ang pamilya namin. Andami nang kids at mga cousins-in-law. Darating pa ang baby nina Kuya Eric sa August ata. yoohoo! |
| | Some pictures before, during and after Lola's 83rd birthday celebration on July 18-20. |
| | Pipay, Rhia and Joel also came with us. Dinner in Pasto in El Pueblo and a few bottles of San Mig Light in Aruba in Metrowalk. Plus too much smoke from the lady beside me who pointed her Marlboro menthol to my direction (thank you, bitch!)
photos from Bang's multiply. I didn't have my cammie that night. :( |
